Further afield, Edinburgh and Glasgow also have a host of places to visit that children will enjoy - Edinburgh Zoo, Dynamic Earth and Glasgow Science Centre are particular favourites.
For fun for all the family, try Noah's Ark in Perth. With soft play and ceramics, indoor karting, four lane bowling alley and a good cafe serving locally sourced, healthy food at reasonable prices, Noah's Ark provides a great day out whatever the weather.
