Staying at one of our luxury holiday cottages provides the perfect base to enjoy a huge range of things to do in Perthshire. Being situated centrally we are near to lots of interesting places to visit, sporting activities, cultural events and gourmet experiences.

From historic castles, interesting towns and villages, gourmet experiences to active pursuits in the big outdoors, we have provided lots of suggestions here that will entertain and delight you, whatever the time of year.

THE BIG OUTDOORS:- Perthshire boasts a range of outdoor activities to suit all ages and abilities. Make the most of your stay in ‘Big Tree Country’, with its spectacular variety of landscapes from mountains, rolling hills, forests and glens, rivers and lochs. ADVENTURE:- For thrill seekers of all ages, Perthshire’s natural environment provides the perfect playground for all types of fun activities. Choose from wet and wild fun on the rivers in summer, to snowy thrills in winter, with plenty of excitement to be found on dry land, whatever the season. Always check with the organisers for availability and any restrictions before setting off.

CULTURAL:- The beauty of the landscape has inspired painters, writers and photographers throughout history. For dazzling scenery, tranquillity and exquisite views, Perthshire has it all.

Those interested in archaeology or history also have a treat in store. The area is rich in castles and stately homes, monuments, Bronze Age settlements, standing stones and an array of fascinating museums. FOR THE FAMILY:- Whatever the weather, there are an exciting range of places to go that will entertain our youngest visitors. Further afield, Edinburgh and Glasgow also have a host of places to visit that children will enjoy - Edinburgh Zoo, Dynamic Earth and Glasgow Science Centre are particular favourites. 

For fun for all the family, try Noah's Ark in Perth. With soft play and ceramics, indoor karting, four lane bowling alley and a good cafe serving locally sourced, healthy food at reasonable prices, Noah's Ark provides a great day out whatever the weather.

We have found lots of great things to do with children of all ages that will keep them entertained come rain or shine!

CULINARY:- Scotland has a well earned reputation for quality and excellence in cuisine. With a rich selection of local producers and suppliers, the ingredients available for chefs and home cooks everywhere can not fail to inspire and impress. Scotland’s only 2-star Michelin restaurant is nearby at Andrew Fairlie at Gleneagles Hotel, so if you really enjoy the best, you’ve the come to the right place.
