Thrill seekers don’t have to go far to get their kicks. Here in Perthshire there is a great array of exciting outdoor activities to choose from. Climbing, canoeing, skiing, cliff jumping and quad biking are all within easy reach.
For water babies, the summer months provide a range of fun activities. Canyoning is great fun, and full of awesome thrills. You swim through rapids, cliff jump into deep pools, abseil through waterfalls and slide down natural stone ‘flumes’. For pure adrenalin junkies, cliff jumping involves leaping, with faith, into a deep pool below. All of these activities are closely supervised by highly trained instructors.
On dry land, why not try the latest craze to arrive here from New Zealand – Sphereing/Zorbing. It involves being strapped into a 12ft inflatable ball and taking a wild and bouncy tumble down the hill. Perfectly safe, and great fun! Or get in touch with your inner Tarzan, and swing, crawl and climb through the trees at Go Ape in Aberfoyle. Surrounded by beautiful Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, it boasts the two longest zip wires in Britain, flying you 150ft above ground and over a 90ft waterfall.
